Mobile tool system for emergency responders
Undertaken in conjunction with the Affect Centre for Design Research at Massey University, this project focused on product design for the post-disaster environment. The Ant mobile tool system allows for an effective rapid response from Civil Defence rescue teams.
When responding to an emergency call out rescue personnel lose valuable time gathering and transporting all of the many tools they may need — and are required to carry — for a rescue response. The Ant mobile tool system provides all the basic tools for a rescue in a reduced-weight, portable format enabling quicker response times for rescue workers, and mobility in a chaotic disaster environment.
